Happy Diwali! ❤

A very happy Diwali to all of you out there. May this Diwali bring lots of happiness, success, peace and prosperity.

And I take this opportunity to present to you a YouTube video where I talk about Superstitions and the need to follow your heart, and pursue your passion. Do check it out and lemme know what you think, because, it’s absolutely relatable to all of us and it’s something each of us have gone through

P.S. I’m a bit worked up and my pace is too fast. There’s noise in the background too. But don’t give up on me yet, will you?

Nostalgia – memories of a lifetime ❤

No matter how much things change, no matter how many new things come up, no matter how much the world we live in modernises, what we grew up with, will always remain super close to our hearts. They’ll always have a special place in our lives, a place that’s irreplaceable.

Because, this feeling is something that each of us can relate to, because I feel so innately nostalgic about it, here’s me sharing a post about one of my favourite places in the city I live. Do read it and share your thoughts, similar memories and experiences. I’m looking forward to read each of yours.

Read it here 👉 Nostalgia – my city, my home.

To you! ❤

To you, that makes mistakes. To you that cries in fear, in pain, in agony. To you that reaches out for help. To you that makes the choices and stays by them. To you, that sticks to the choices that’s been made for you. To you, that dreams. To you, that doesn’t want what the rest of the world does. To you, that chases what nobody else does. To you, that perseveres and pursues.
To you that has flaws. To you that is impulsive. To you that repents. To you that has awkward conversations. To you that jumps in happiness. To you that falls and fails. To you that picks yourself up and tries again. To you that hesitates. To you that fumbles. To you that isn’t perfect.

To you that has a bone of contention about every micron you see. To you that commits a faux pas every living second.
To you that wakes up each day to make a difference. To you that faces disappointments. To you, that believes. To you that inspires.
The universe, looks up to you.
Nobody else can be you – your blemishes, your blunders, your choices – They make you, you.
You, are the star of your life.
Cheers!

Identity – and what it is.

I always wonder if the world we live in, would ever get right, the meaning of identity,

For, it believes each of us is a race horse, trained just the way it wills us to be –
“Girls your age, are married, in our town,

When, are you, planning to settle down?”
“My sister’s son – he’s done with his master’s, now contemplating his PhD,

If Master’s isn’t what you want, why don’t you go for a Management degree?”
But, hey, being asked to become a stereotype isn’t exactly new, is it?

For, into the mould designed by the society, we’ve always been forced to fit,
We’re only expected to yield to expectations aplenty,

Whether we’re ten, twenty, fifty or seventy,

We’re always told to lead by example, or made to follow one,

We’re forever required to be on par with our friend, sibling, cousin, or the neighbour’s son,
Yet, stand up we must, for what we want, even if it means a journey, alone,

Shut out other perspectives until we discover our own,
Carve our own niche, create our own mould,

Because, to seek our calling, we can never be too old –
Defy gravity, find our own ground,

What we presumed, lost, will only then be found.
Cheers!✨

Flap your wings!

Where is it that you wish to be,

What is it, that in your dreams, you see?

Close your eyes, let your instincts guide thee,

Flap your wings, bring to life your crazy audacity!

Finding My Place…

This one is easy.

Finding my place

So, one place that has been prominent in bringing out the best in me, in helping me grow, in shaping me up, is the library. Or any place with books actually. They give me a sense of belonging like no other. Books are my best friends and my go-to, every time I’m stuck, happy or sad. They tell me what I exactly want to hear. They answer all my questions, know what I want to know. They have this subtle way of transporting me to a place that keeps me in solace. They help me up every time I fall and listen to me whenever I mop. They don’t complain. They don’t demand. They have no expectations either. They just accept me for who I am and love me back too. They stick with me no matter what, no matter when. To me, no place is more beautiful and peaceful than a place with books – which is why I have them stocked wherever I live.

Relax…

What makes me relax?

The feeling of getting back home is incomparable, irreplaceable. I chose this picture because I found it identical to us getting back home after a long, tiring day and finding our way to bliss, unlocking the door of our house. It somehow makes the journey worth. Home’s comfort space. Our place to be in, sleep in, party in – without having to worry. It’s our safe haven.
