Goodbyes are so darn hard.
They sear through your very core and rip your soul apart,
And make all the everlasting eternities you had dreamt of, vanish into nothingness,
Leaving behind a bountiful of memories tickling your effervescence.

But, they also kindle in you a hope, a possibility of creating new forevers again,
They help you fabricate a shimmer, a respite to reduce your pain.

Because, think of the times you don’t get to say one.
Of the ties you’ve severed without reason, that now are too late to be undone,
Of the moments when people suddenly disappear into a universe you wouldn’t get to be a part of, leaving behind a hollow you’d never be able to fill,
Of the times when people leave unsaid, bringing your world to an abrupt, unacceptable standstill.

Wouldn’t you then yearn for that last meeting, for that glimpse of a smile, that parting sigh,
Wouldn’t you then pine for one last goodbye?

I hoard books for a living. And read them too, when I am not sleeping. I express what I think, so my unheard feelings don't sink. I like to sing when I walk, to keep shades grey, at bay. I speak like a dork, but I don't want to drive anyone away. I write what's real, and nothing fake, so visit my blog whenever you need a break ;)
