Conversations, Equations, and People.

You know, sometimes, all it takes is a harmless, random, effervescent conversation,
Which, after you let it, transforms into self depreciation, and oodles of mutual admiration,

The equation then, for you, becomes so acutely magnetic that it begins to loom large over your head, obscuring your sense of vision,

Inadvertently exhausting you, eating into your time, your sense of perspective – until you begin to trust it with your every thought, your every decision,

You step into it not knowing where you’re heading, yet you decide to give it your all,

You take upon yourself to clear every storm it hits, every stopgap, every pitfall,

And then, it fails you. Just when you need its strength, its presence,
It disappears into nothingness. So quickly, that its absence makes you question your very existence,

It leaves you with a void that you find difficult to cope with, it brings your life to an unassuming, abrupt standstill,
It leaves inside you a gaping emptiness that you desperately, earnestly want to fill,

It leaves you, with yet another heart-achingly painful reminder –

Of tenebrous, toxic people who leave you without answers, who push you to meaninglessly meander.

I hoard books for a living. And read them too, when I am not sleeping. I express what I think, so my unheard feelings don't sink. I like to sing when I walk, to keep shades grey, at bay. I speak like a dork, but I don't want to drive anyone away. I write what's real, and nothing fake, so visit my blog whenever you need a break ;)
