Aiming to reach the skies and beyond, she wakes up to give her flawed self, a sense of identity,
Seeking, searching, for places to belong in, for spaces to be,
Pausing in between, to fulfill expectations aplenty,
Shirking, shrinking her sense of being, into boundaries defined by the society,
Despondent she becomes, sometimes diffident, and takes her time to turn around,
But she doesn’t sink, she doesn’t drown, she doesn’t let anything pull her dreams down,
She buckles up for the journey that awaits her, scarcely wanting to give in,
For she’s fiercely aching to stand out, forever unwilling, to fit in.
