Hope and Kindness.

Three weeks ago, there was a huge storm that blew by in the city that I live. There were severe rains and panic. It was to last for 2 days. And it did. The third day, was fortunately a bright sunny morning. And I didn’t bother to carry my umbrella or jerkin to work, to shield me from the cold or the rain. Only, it was sunny all through the day, but began to rain cats and dogs the moment I stepped out of my workplace. Royally drenched from top to toe and shivering out of cold I walked to the bus stand to hail an auto or board any bus that came my way. But as luck would have it, not a single vehicle passed by. Strong winds blew and I couldn’t stand the cold. My teeth were chattering and I was shaking. I slipped into a corner and tried to hold myself in one piece. A lady who had passed by me, a few minutes ago had apparently noticed me. She walked back to me, shared her umbrella with me, waited until I got into a bus and then went on her way. Might sound something simple now, but back then, it was such an incredible, warm gesture. That’s exactly what it takes to protect, save or help someone. A tiny bit of kindness or warmth to someone, anyone might just make their day. A little bit of light from your way, might fill another’s cold day with warmth and sunshine.

Go ahead, don’t think too much. You don’t have to necessarily go out of your way to do your bit. Small things work wonders. Try it. Share the joy.

I hoard books for a living. And read them too, when I am not sleeping. I express what I think, so my unheard feelings don't sink. I like to sing when I walk, to keep shades grey, at bay. I speak like a dork, but I don't want to drive anyone away. I write what's real, and nothing fake, so visit my blog whenever you need a break ;)
