Song – Music which’ll stay with me forever

I was reading the post Song yesterday and a gazillion songs popped into my mind instantly, each reminding me of a memory attached to it.

But these two win, hands down.

  • Oruvan Oruvan Muthalali from Muthu – The Superstar on silverscreen with one of the best pieces of music from the Mozart of Madras, they create magic.

  • Do Re Mi from The Sound Of Music. One of the first ever movies I got to watch as a kid. I fell in love with the song, with Julie Andrews and the movie. Can’t beat the memories of singing the lines along, high and loud and clear with the cousins, each time we get together during the summer!

I hoard books for a living. And read them too, when I am not sleeping. I express what I think, so my unheard feelings don't sink. I like to sing when I walk, to keep shades grey, at bay. I speak like a dork, but I don't want to drive anyone away. I write what's real, and nothing fake, so visit my blog whenever you need a break ;)

  1. We have in common, “The Sound of Music.” It WAS the first movie I ever saw in a theater. I will never forget it. It is my go-to DVD to pop in if I can’t sleep, or if I am feeling blue, or if I am ill. It never fails to cheer me.
