The Epic-(C)rush!

My interest in mythology is not new. I have been fascinated by the Indian Epics – The Mahabharath, and The Ramayan right since my childhood, when my mother and grand mother used to narrate incidents from them. The various characters that evolved in them are so subtle, yet simple. They seemed complicated on the outer, but behind every incident, every action, every reaction – they had a reason. Good or bad, they justified their actions. Such is the pride of them. Every character is a mystery on it’s own. And huge is the rush that I get every time I read a chapter in them. Each page unfolds a new story, a new facet. An unforeseen situation. So, I have decided to explore more on each of the characters, especially the ones with the darker shade, to understand them better, and perhaps learn something more! This will be my upcoming project and am super-excited on what I might be finding out as I dig deeper in.

P.S. People reading this blog, do tell me who your favorite character is. And what quality about the character makes him/her your favorite? I am waiting for your opinions 🙂

I hoard books for a living. And read them too, when I am not sleeping. I express what I think, so my unheard feelings don't sink. I like to sing when I walk, to keep shades grey, at bay. I speak like a dork, but I don't want to drive anyone away. I write what's real, and nothing fake, so visit my blog whenever you need a break ;)
